In
May 2004 I was very fortunate to travel from Beijing
to Jinan in China's north.
The
train was modern, fast and airconditioned, while
the scenery was incomparable.
I
didn't get to see any steam engines, but I did see
a very modern well run rail system and a nation
emerging into something very special.
For
the warmest welcomes, and the nicest people, China
is very hard to beat!
