A visit to Enfield Loco Dec 26, 1982 (NSWGR)

Someone might like to correct me - I took the photos, but I can't remember if it was 1982, or perhaps 83.

The clincher is 8105 - it was brand new and still had the plastic on the driver's seat - just like a new car!

Old photos age - like memories, so I thought I'd digitise these before they totally lost their colour!

On a hot but muggy Boxing day in 1982 - or 83 :-) I found myself visiting Enfield Loco, where all was very quiet due to the Christmas holiday.

As I recall, I think 4201 has just been withdrawn for preservation at the NSWRTM.

4206 was being readied for more work and was moved around the yard while we were there

48s were being sanded

And I had forgotten - 4510 was still active

Virtually all the 46 class was at home

And 48103 had just received the then new Candy Paint scheme.
