Cousin Paul sent these photos. He is the son of my father Bill's sister Phylis.

His first photos are of the house that my father's mother's parents owned in the 1800's. Us kids knew tham as Nannie and Nanpa. They were true Aussie pioneers successfully establishing their farm near Singleton in NSW

Paul tells me that little has canged in this house in the 60 or so years since Nannie and Nanpa owned it. Some of the original furniture is still there even!

As they got too old for farming, Nannie and Nanpa moved into Singleton (at age 85!). They lived in this house, and survived several floods including one which reached the roof of this house!

Singleton Railway station - Railways are a part of our family history and much of the drama of those days centred in one way or another on this station.

Cousin Marilyn is no longer with us - she passed away recently and is missed hugely. She was a really beautiful girl - and person - as these photos attest.

Needless to say - this part of the world has changed hugely!

In our family, simply referred to as "up the bush".
